Gateway to Social Opportunity Groups
 
We currently provide three groups which are determined by the student's age and school level.
 
 
Junior Group
 
Consists of students in the elementary and primary school setting.  This group is home-based at The Connection for Women and Families in Summit, New Jersey with several community based trips each semester.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Middle-Senior Group
 
Consists of students in the middle and early high school settings.  The majority of this group's activities are community-based.  Opportunities to interact with the Young Adult group are provided each semester.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Senior-Young Adult Group
 
Consists of students enrolled in high school programs or recent graduates (up to age 30).  The majority of the group's activities are community and metropolitan based.  This group actively assists and serves as role models for the younger groups.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  • For some trips and events,  all groups are combined.
 
  • All bus trips into New York  City and bus trips  that are 1 hour or longer  are  on chartered buses that contain a bathroom and DVD player.
